FLASHBACK: Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell vacationed in Apartheid South Africa?

To be clear, that never happened. At least not that I know of. But imagine if it had.

Imagine if an American celebrity supercouple chose South Africa–of all the countries in the world–to vacation in the 1980s at the height of the Apartheid era during rampant human and civil rights abuses.

Imagine them staying at hotels reserved only for whites, dining at restaurants that only allow whites, dancing and partying in clubs where only whites are welcomed, and infusing thousands of American dollars into a regime that will only use that money to continue oppressing its people.

And if all that wasn’t enough, imagine the regime covering and touting these celebrities’ every move on state television, showing what a great time they had as a propaganda ploy to distract from its own oppression and undermine dissidents’ efforts to call international attention to their plight. A warning to Democrats and Republicans about Charlie Crist

Much has been said about the detestable weasel backstabber Charlie Crist finally doing what we all knew he was going to do–register as a Democrat.

Many Republicans, conservatives, and other Crist haters, including the officials at the Republican Party of Florida have quickly condemned Crist for essentially coming full circle and finally being “true to self” and registering as a Democrat after years of undermining conservatism.

That is the wrong approach, in my opinion.

Not to toot my own horn (toot toot), but I have been on the forefront of calling out this weasel politician for his treachery and opportunism for about seven years now. I called him out and exposed him when he was at the top, when just about every Republican adored and respected him (or pretended to out of political expediency), when his minions controlled the Republican Party of Florida (i.e., Jim Greer, George LeMieux and others), and when they were all in a position to enact political retribution–which they did. I and a handful of others called him out, and we paid the price. We were exiled from our own party, but ultimately we defeated him and his circle of crap, exposed them for the criminals they all were, and Floridians of all stripes are better off for it.

Those of us who have battled Crist over the years know him to be utterly and completely devoid of principles and conviction.  As such, to say that Crist has finally come home to the Democrat Party is false.   Continue reading →

Charlie “No Labels” Crist endorses nation’s most divisive partisan for congress

“No Labels” spokesman and backstabber Charlie Crist appeared on MSNBC this morning to talk about the elections and other drivel.

As part of his ongoing mission to suck up to Democrats, he blasted the GOP-dominated legislature for passing an election law that “makes it harder for my mother to vote” because she has to sign her name (which has always been a requirement to vote in Florida).

But his most entertaining bit this morning was his endorsement of the most vitriolic, divisive, mean-spirited congressman to ever disgrace the halls of the US Capitol. Continue reading →

Che Guevara kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month at Obama’s EPA

The Miami Herald reported tonight that the Environmental Protection Agency blasted an e-mail out to commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month.

The e-mail included a description of why Hispanic Heritage is celebrated beginning September 15 of every year.  It stated:

Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15, the anniversary of independence for five Latin American countries—Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico declared its independence on September 16, and Chile on September 18.

What was odd is that instead of picturing an iconic landmark in one of the countries listed, or even a picture of a famous Hispanic-American, it sticks a snapshot of Stalinist Cuba, specifically a picture of a communist propaganda mural that depicts mass murdering Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara and a quote that says “unto victory, always!” Continue reading →

Charlie Crist hopes Democrats are dumber than Republicans

If Florida politics is a joke, Charlie Crist is its punchline. Except, right when you think the punchline is finally over, it just gets more outrageous.

As has been widely reported, Florida’s former Republican governor, turned independent loser candidate, turned ambulance chaser spokesman Charlie Crist will address the Democratic National Convention tonight. News of this came after his endorsement of Barack Obama last week just days before the Republican National Convention kicked off in his own back yard.

Clearly, Florida’s do-nothing governor and perpetual candidate Charlie Crist is hoping Democrats are dumber than Republicans by welcoming him into their fold. Continue reading →
